Around noon on Friday (11/13/15), Ohio County Sheriff’s Chief Deputy Chad Oaks responded to an accident on State Rte. 56 near Camp Shore.
Upon arrival, Chief Deputy Oaks found a vehicle on its side in the roadway.
Upon investigation, Chief Deputy Oaks found that 64 year old Kenny Cleeter, of Aurora, was traveling west on State Rte 56, when a vehicle in front of his stopped abruptly. In order to avoid collision, Cleeter swerved to the right, and stuck an embankment, which caused his vehicle to flip end over end and land on its driver side.
Cleeter was wearing his seatbelt and did not complain of injuries at the scene, but was taken to Dearborn County Hospital by ambulance to be checked out.
Chief Deputy Oaks was assisted at the scene by Rising Sun Police Department, Rising Sun Fire Department, and Ohio County EMS.
