On July 27, 2015 Detective Kurtis Wallace and Detective Jonathon Simpson was in the area of Taft Drive in Presidential Estates. While in the area, officers observed a subject enter an apartment. Officers recognized the subject as Christopher S. Boyle Age 34. Detective Wallace was aware of an active warrant for Boyle for Auto Theft. Based on the criminal history on Boyle, the Madison Police Department Emergency Response Team was contacted to serve the arrest warrant. During the execution of the arrest warrant officers located Boyle and Hannah Bruner Age 23, inside the residence. During a safety sweep of the residence, officers observed drug paraphernalia and a plastic bag with white substance. The bag was field tested and tested positive for methamphetamine. A Search Warrant was applied for and granted for the residence for the drug items. During the search of the residence officers located additional drug paraphernalia and methamphetamine. Boyle and Bruner were arrested and transported to the Jefferson County Jail. In addition to the arrest warrant for Auto Theft, Boyle was also charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and Maintaining a Common Nuisance. Brunner was also charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and Maintaining a Common Nuisance.
