At approximately 5pm on Sunday (3/29) the Ohio County Sheriff’s Department responded to a single vehicle crash near the intersection of State Road 262 and Downey Ridge. A 2012 Gray Dodge Avenger, driven by Terri L. Aponte of Lawrenceburg, was traveling west on State Rte. 262 when she lost control of the vehicle, stuck a tree and rolled the vehicle which caused the vehicle to come to rest on its top.
Aponte complained of shoulder and upper arm pain, but refused treatment at the scene. Two passengers in the vehicle, David Sandlin and a 16 year old juvenile were transported by ambulance to Dearborn County Hospital.
Sandlin also had a warrant out of Dearborn County for probation violation and was arrested pending medical treatment.
Deputy Dee Smith investigated the crash. He was assisted at the scene by Rising Sun Fire Department and Ohio County EMS.
