A rollover crash injured two people on Thursday (5/17/18) in Ripley County.
Deputies were summoned to the scene on US 421 near County Road 100 N around 6:20pm. It is believed the driver of a 2004 Ford Work Truck, 35-year-old Michael Carf of Patriot, lost control and over-corrected, causing his vehicle to go off the roadway and flip three times before coming to rest in a field. Carf was ejected from the truck and was taken to Margaret Mary Hospital in Batesville for treatment.
A passenger in the truck, Andrew Sullivan of Holton, was also injured and taken to Margaret Mary Hospital in Batesville and later transported to UC Health in Cincinnati for unknown injuries.
Carf told deputies he was traveling southbound and a northbound vehicle crossed the center line and ran him off the roadway. A witness of the crash says there was no northbound vehicle around at the time of the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
