On Monday May 14, 2018 shortly after 2am, Ripley County Deputy Adam Hunger along with his K-9 partner Czar, were requested to assist an Indiana State Trooper on a traffic stop in Versailles.
Deputy Hunger arrived on scene and met with Trooper Nick Albrecht who advised the subjects in the vehicle were acting suspiciously and seemed nervous.
Deputy Hunger deployed his partner, Czar, and conducted an open-air sniff around the vehicle. Czar alerted to the presence of narcotics in the vehicle.
Probable cause was established and a search of the vehicle was conducted. Deputy Hunger and Trooper Albrecht located marijuana, methamphetamine and numerous items of paraphernalia in the vehicle.
The driver of the vehicle, 35 year old Mark Crawley of Patriot, and the passenger, 22 year old Kelsey Roark of Osgood, were arrested and charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana, Possesssion of Paraphernalia, Maintaining a Common Nuisance and Driving While Suspended.
All subjects are innocent until proven guilty.
