UPDATE: Kentucky State Police have released further details into the shooting. They say that Sheriff Josh Neale responded to the call of a disturbance at around 4:45am.
When he arrived, 35 year old Treigh Monroe of Louisville had another male, 54 year old Dwight Wesley of Bennington (Switzerland County), held at gunpoint. Sheriff Neale tried to negotiate with Monroe to put the gun down, but was unsuccessful. Monroe shot Wesley and then turned the gun on himself.
Monroe was pronounced dead at the scene, Wesley was transported to Carroll County Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. Sheriff Neale did not discharge his weapon.
It is unclear what the relation between the two men was, or what could have led to the shooting.
The investigation does continue by Kentucky State Police.
UPDATE: According to Kentucky State Police, 2 male subjects are dead after the shooting.
KSP says a call came in around 4:45am of a disturbance, Sheriff Josh Neale responded and attempted to deescalate but was unsuccessful. As of now, KSP does not believe Sheriff Neale discharged his weapon, that both men died of gunshot wounds afflicted by one of the male subjects.
According to KSP, one of the men are believed to be from the Louisville area while the other is local. It is unclear what led to the shooting or if these two men even knew each other.
KSP detectives are treating this as a death investigation. Some reports suggest it was a murder-suicide, however that is not confirmed.

UPDATE: Gallatin County Sheriff’s Office reports on their facebook page that there is no threat to the public. Everyone involved has been accounted for.
At least one person is dead, it’s unclear if anyone else was hurt or involved after a shooting this morning in Warsaw.
Reports say a situation took place on the streets and went downhill when shots were fired.
Ambulances were sent to the scene.
No official information has been released other than West Main Street between 1st and 4th Streets is closed this morning. This is in the area of the Family Dollar Store.
Gallatin County Schools are on a 1-hour delay due to the active scene.
