Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating a firearms related incident that killed one hunter involved.
A Columbus resident, 29-year old Anthony Thompson, received fatal injuries from a firearm while hunting with his brother in Holton. The two, along with a juvenile, were hunting from a ground blind when the incident occurred.
Ripley County Deputies arrived first on scene to secure the area. Ripley County EMS was on scene to offer medical assistance.
Conservation Officers were on scene at 8:35 a.m. and are currently investigating the incident.
At this time, the investigation is still underway, but no foul play is expected.
