On Sunday, December 24, 2017, Officer Kyle Cutshaw and Lt. Detective Jonathon Simpson received information that a male subject, later identified as Vince A. Miller, Age 32 of Madison Indiana, had offered to sell methamphetamine to a subject. Officers were able to began an investigation and learned through phone messages and calls, Vince agreed to sell approximately 7 grams of methamphetamine for $350.00. Vince made arrangements to meet the subject at Circle K store located downtown Madison.
Officer Cutshaw arrived at Circle K where he observed Vince sitting in the back seat of a taxi cab. Officer Cutshaw made contact with Vince who denied being at the store to sell Methamphetamine. Officer Cutshaw had Vince exit the vehicle. Officer Cutshaw learned that Vince had a cell phone on his person. Officer Cutshaw learned the phone Vince had was the one used to arrange the drug transaction. Vince was placed under arrest for attempting to deal methamphetamine.
Sgt. Wayne Phillips assisted in the investigation. Sgt. Phillips conducted a search of the taxi cab where Vince had been sitting. During a search of the taxi cab, Sgt. Phillips located a polar pop cup, and inside of the polar pop cup was a plastic bag containing a crystal like substance. The crystal like substance field test positive for methamphetamine, and weighed approximately 8.0 grams. Based on the information Vince was placed under arrest.
