A Greendale woman was arrested early Tuesday after hitting a deer with her vehicle.
49 year old Elizabeth A. Duncan was traveling on State Rte. 56 when she hit a deer around 4:30am Tuesday morning.
Ohio County Deputies arrived and noticed the odor of an alcoholic beverage on Duncan’s person. She was transported to Dearborn County Hospital for a blood draw.
While inventorying the vehicle, prescription pills were found in a cellophane wrapper.
Duncan was placed under arrest for operating while intoxicated (pending blood draw results), possession of a schedule II narcotic drug, and possession of marijuana.
The Ohio County Sheriff’s Department was assisted at the scene by the Rising Sun and Aurora Police Departments.
