A Milan area teen was injured after rolling his vehicle several times.
The accident happened on Friday May 25th on County Road 625 E near the intersection of County Road 75 N.
Deputies say 18 year old Triston Harvey admitted to driving at an excessive speed as he was late for work. Harvey told police he crested a hill and met a vehicle pulling a hay wagon. He swerved to the right to avoid collision but over-corrected and came back onto the roadway and struck the hay wagon, his Jeep Cherokee then flipped several times before landing in the middle of the roadway on its top.
Harvey was transported to Margaret Mary Hospital in Batesville for injuries sustained in the crash. Deputies also issued him several citations.
The driver of the other vehicle was uninjured. The hay wagon was completely destroyed.
Deputies were assisted at the scene by Milan Police, Milan Fire, Ripley County EMS and Myer’s Wrecker Service.
